Leica IIIc Rangefinder Camera Body - Complete Clad/Refurbished Rare Vertical Sharkskin CoveringThis post-war circa 1946 Leica IIIc,  bearing s/n 497370 has undergone a complete clad.  The camera was completely disassembled and each part was inspected, cleaned and checked for its overall condition.  The camera has received a new set of shutter curtains and all shutter speeds are within tolerance, including the slow speeds.  The optics have been cleaned resulting in a easy to see secondary image that is properly aligned.  The original rare "sharkskin" vulcanite covering still remains good.  The chrome on this Leica that is now 75 + yrs. old remains good with a few areas that show chrome loss.  The bottom cover is in nice condition.  If you are looking to invest in a nice working IIIc for your use or collection, you will be quite pleased.  It's nice and smooth for a camera that is over 75 years old.
