~GERMAN MADE LANSDORFER MACHINE HEADS ~NICKLE SILVER BACK PLATES  ~36 mm spacing~These machines are a piece of history, here for sale on ebay.Please note the first photo showing the exact same machine as these.The guitar pictured is a Herman Hauser II 1954The Lansdorfer Classical Guitar tuning machines were the gold standard for fine classical guitars for over 50 years. They were best known as the machines that graced Herman Hauser I, and II guitars. Andres Segovia, Julian Bream, John Williams, Jorge Caballero, The Romero's and countless others played Hauser guitars throughout their careers.These are not like the ultra modern state of the art tuning machines. They are very sturdy although they will be somewhat resistant when tuning at different places in the revolution of the barrel.Keep in mind that these machines were used by the worlds greatest guitarists without complaint, or need to repair or modify them at all.These machines are a 36mm spacing.
