In it's original antique period frame this is a lovely old oil on canvas painting titled 'The First Thaw". It is signed, "E. Trautmann". The painting depicts a snow covered landscape with a stream running through it. Detail and execution are very good. As are the colors and depiction of light. There is a very small tear, that could be restored or this beauty could be hung as it is. The painting measures 25" x 30", with the frame it is 31-1/2" x 36-1/2".
