My story
[gallery type="rectangular" link="none" columns="6" size="full" ids="4,4,4,4,4,4"]The goofy, gangly kiddo!Hey amigos! Me llamo Paquito! I am a 1.5 year old, long-legged Sloughi-Shepherd mix, weighing about 52 lbs. I was found in TJ when I was a wee 3 months old perrito. A nice lady took pity on the weak, shaky me and reached out to TAP. My life has turned around since then! I am being fostered by amazing people and my foster dad happens to be a professional behavioral therapist! Trust me, I and my forever family, are in good hands as long as my training is disciplined! I am fully bathroom, crate and leash trained, but of course, and I have been fixed too!A very important thing to remember about me is that I must never, ever have any bones or chew sticks around me. I have a tendency to resource-guard only those. I am totally fine with food and toys. Also, it is a great idea to crate me when I am alone at home and at night as it will help me fall asleep.Do you remember Pluto from Mickey Mouse movies? Well, I am a non-cartoon version of him! Tall, gangly n goofy! I am a total dork and super friendly with all the dogs in my house and who I meet. My heart is bursting with love, and I want to shower all the people with cuddles and kissies! I am not a fan of kitties. Regarding kids, I would prefer an all-adult household. My dad is working on me for obedience and he promises to continue training me and my forever family too! I have not shown any separation anxiety so far and I am pretty independent. I do love to live an active lifestyle and go on runs, swims and hikes. Workouts and playtime are my top priority! I have recently discovered fetch, and love it! Outdoorsy lifestyle is totally up my alley and I prefer being in the yard all day playing and come back in for dinner and sleep. Structure and routine go a long way for me!I would love to have a strong leader like dad who will take care of me and dedicate time to train me and work with my foster dad. I must be a part of a pack of doggos who can run and play in a big yard. I would do very well with dogs as long as I don't have chew toys or bones to resource-guard. It will be amazing to go on hikes and runs and stay active. I would require an adults-only, males mostly home and definitely no kitties. If I sound like your dream doggo, hurry up and say hi! My adoption fee is $350 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip.
