THE PHOTOS DON'T DO THIS DESK JUSTICE!!!! THE bright spots are FROM THE FLASH...the desk is totally dark in color! blackish brown stained that is vogue. AND THIS DESK IS LARGE like about 50 inches wide and 2.5 feet deep, I'd say...

　　My friend has a very high end and extremely heavy, solid wood desk from Storehouse that she got on sale for $599. Only flaws: her nephew spilled something on top of it and ruined the finish in a few spots about the size of a quarter and then managed to put lots of surface scratches atop as well. The front and sides look great and the drawers work perfectly. The color is very dark, almost blackish, espresso, I'd say, like the color very popular these days but it photographed lighter.

　　It is the heaviest desk imagineable so you would need major help loading. Very attractive piece of furniture if you can forget that the top isn't perfect. HOWEVER, most people have all kinds of things on top and it wouldn't even be noticeable.
