VPI HW-17 Record Cleaning Machine - New old Stock - Nice!
Jun 2, 2024
Description

This is an almost brand new VPI 17 Record cleaning machine. I bought this from a gentleman that had found it in new old stock condition. It had never been out of the box until I acquired it a year ago.  I used it in my apartment while out of town for work. I have cleaned maybe 20 LPs with it? The paper on top of the lid is how they came from the factory for protection and can be removed.Everything is in top condition. You will get a 99% new unit with the clamp to hold down your record. The allen wrench for removing the brush. You have thousands of record cleanings before you'll need to replace the brush. The pads on the vacuum are like new. The VPI has its own power supply and fan so you can clean records for hours. These things are work horses. I had one at my record shop years ago. I've had one in my house for almost 20 years. I use the VPI formula (not included) with a little isopropyl alcohol (90/10) There are all kinds of cleaners out there but this is what has worked for me.It is factory boxed up and ready to ship. It's hard to find these legends anymore and especially in immaculate condition such as this.S&H $40.00 in the U.S.A.There are no instructions with this unit. There are videos on YouTube I'm sure but I'll run you through it anyway.Place your record on the spindle. Screw the clamp on so that its not loose on the table. With an upward motion bring the Brush over and let it click into position. Now take the TABLE toggle and move it up. Push the red PUMP button to disperse fluid. Let it go around 3 rotations. Now move TABLE toggle to the downward position. I like to put it in neutral for a second instead of flipping the toggle all the way down. Let that spin backwards for 2 rotations. Toggle up for forward. Take your brush off. Now bring the Vacuum attachment around and hit the VACUUM toggle. Let it spin for 2 rotations. Repeat the other side and now you have a record that should be free of pops, clicks and crackle from dust and debris.
