Jax is a 2 year old Doberman who finds his way through life on 3 legs. After being found on the streets, he is looking for a family to provide him routine while he continues to adjust to home life and assure him he no longer has to be homeless. He has been through a lot in his life, but this smart lad has easily learned the indoor house rules. He quickly picked up on regular meals, potty training, and what a cushy dog bed is all about. He adores stuffies, and gently carries them around. He missed out on the fun puppyhood, so it will be up to his new family to teach him toys, short walks, and a warm lap to place his head at night will always be there in his future. Jax personifies the 'velcro' dog and loves nothing more than to be with his people. He has a keen interest in water and doesnt need permission to hop in your pool; swimming is a great low impact way to burn his energy. He may prefer to have a family all himself but with a slow introduction, would likely be receptive to another calm dog. He also does well with cats.

Although he has lived with other dogs, we believe he will do best in a home as the only dog, at least for now. He does well with cats and is generally friendly on leash to other calm dogs.
