My client is a privately–owned, multi–disciplinary engineering and environmental consultancy, operating nationally. They serve both private and public sector clients including residential, commercial, industrial, retail, leisure, education and healthcare.They are seeking an Air Quality Consultant to join their expanding team based in Leicestershire. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven and passionate individual to help develop and grow their Air Quality team, working for a number of significant clients on residential and commercial projects. Their Air Quality team offers a range of services to cover all aspects of the discipline.

Your new roleResponsibilities (Can vary dependent on level):

Undertake air quality assessments and surveys.Manages own and others time to ensure that projects are completed to deadlines and are of good quality.Maintains good communication with clients and team members.Manages clients expectations, informing them of key results and progress throughout the project.Communication is professional, recorded, shared with all necessary team members and filed correctly for all to access.Maintains continuous professional development. Senior:

Critically and helpfully reviews the technical and written work of othersWrites fee proposals and has good understanding of market rates, technical and financial constraints and requirements, fee proposals reflect client needsTakes responsibility and ownership of a project throughout, including, ensuring surveys are well–timed, planned, organised and written upFollows up and supervises technical work if completed by others.Project communication including start up meetings and emails.Financial control for a project including mid and end reviews.Uses sense, effort and innovation to ensure that the project is completed most efficiently.Takes responsibility for financial administration of projects including invoicing, earning, terms and conditions, correct setting up and change management.Takes responsibility for others in including mentoring, advice, technical support and fellowship. What you'll need to succeed

Must be willing to work flexibly to tight timescales.Able to use technical equipment on the field with minimum supervision.A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel is essential.Demonstrable track record of delivering air quality assessments within the UK for a wide range of schemes (for consultant and senior roles).Ideally experience using Air Dispersion Models (i.e. ADMS, ADMS Roads, Aermod) and the application of GIS packages for digitisation of data input and output.Ability to interpret environmental guidelines, policies, plans and legislative requirements and assess their applicability to the project to identify appropriate solutions.Understanding of the UK legal framework for air quality assessments including environmental permitting (for consultant and senior roles).Ability to engage with Clients and stakeholders to understand requirements, obtain sufficient information, and succinctly and accurately report findings and deliver resultsWell–organised and able to prioritise their own workload with minimal supervision.Member of the Institute of Air Quality Management What you'll get in return
