We are seeking to recruit Support Security Officers to work at various sites around Northampton and Bedford
City Group aims to provide high quality services designed to professionally support customers (Public and Private Sectors) in the provision of security and cleaning. Our aim is to create a unique client experience, enabling us to both retain and grow our market share.
Duties: A security officer's general duties can vary depending on the specific job and industry they work in.
Protecting People and Property: Security officers are responsible for preventing unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, and ensuring the safety of individuals within a particular area or premises.
Monitoring and Surveillance: Officers often monitor CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and patrol designated areas to identify and respond to potential security breaches or suspicious activities.
Access Control: Security officers may manage access to restricted areas, checking credentials.
Emergency Response: They are trained to respond promptly to emergencies such as fires, medical incidents, or accidents, ensuring the safety and well-being of everyone present.
Writing Reports: Officers are typically required to document incidents, write detailed reports, and maintain accurate records of security-related events to assist in investigations.
Customer Service: Many security officers also act as the first point of contact for visitors, providing helpful information, directions, or assistance when needed.
Enforcing Rules and Regulations: Security officers often enforce company policies, safety regulations, and applicable laws, ensuring compliance with established guidelines.
