Telestar's -Custom/Pick-up is a single-coil, potted to eliminate microphonics despite their appearance, the Telestar single-coil pick-up/tipe pick-up telestar 5004 6.18k pick-up's they sound similar to vintage P-90smuch fatter than a Stratocaster but more like out of world.w/Custom-Gold tone-volume-knobs and crome jack input. Custom rectangular Mother of Pearl Inlay fret markers first inlay is square and they were only put in the electric guitars not there acoustic guitars and there is nowhere on the frets at all like new and even the headstock Telestar decal was done custom done in mother of pearl in which I have not seen on any other Telestar guitar. All original custom hardware down to the nuts and bolts 17/18 fret neck w/Rose wood fret board.Jumbo size fret board.Nice low sweet action on the neck and has adjustable truss rod neck.U shaped thick neck and the neck is thick but feel thin in the palm of your hand, much like classic Rickenbacker necks.steel-reinforced neck and even the truss rod cover is a custom crome,Yes the pickgard is custom to pickguard (red shell)Spruce top with Mahogany back and sides Neck: is Mahogany.Adjustable Bridge for that tight action and wood part of it is Rosewood,Metal part is done in Chrome and the two Mother of Pearl Inlay hole covers. Sound Hole Rosette is amazingly done and it even has Binding inside sound hole. Tail piece is done in chrome and smooth not sharp edges like all other Telestar acoustic I have seen and has Hinge in arm of it may be used for a slight tremolo bar. Machine head buttons and Machine heads are all done in chrome.Even comes with original guitar case black shell gold shag on the inside but missing clips to hinges and no keys to case but it's all there."Reminds me of an old high end Vintage Harmony/Gibson combo acoustic then when you plug it in it's crazy out of this world!This guitar was Made in Japan/U.S.A..Yamaha (Nippon Gakki) made the wood parts in the good old U.S.A., and Tokyo Sound installed their own Electronics pickup and all other hardware designs at the factory in Japan and then imported back to United States to the Tele-Star Musical Instruments Corp.651 BroadwayNew York New York 10012 Asking $1,000.00 FIRM!
