Great Escape                                CarverMariner 28  1987 28' Carver Mariner Flying Bridge powered by twin inboard220 HP Mercruiser MIE 230 gasoline engines, Velvet Drive 71C transmissions, andWalter RV-26 V-Drives.      Knownas “one of the most popular family sedans ever built,” Great Escape is clean,spacious, and in good overall condition. The port engine was replaced with a rebuild in 2019 and has ~100hours.  Starboard engine is original with~1450 hours. Additionally, the swim platform was rebuilt in 2022, new salonlights installed in 2021, interior cushions re-upholstered in 2017, and belowthe water line epoxy barrier coat by previous owner.   Shehas an angled queen-sized berth in the forward vee, a full-length pull-outdouble in the salon, and the dinette table also drops to a berth as needed. Thenearly 10′ x 5′ aft deck with high freeboard surround is great for fishingalong with the little guys, or just stretching out in the sun. The biminienclosed flybridge helm and seating area can comfortably seat six and is agreat vantage point whether under way or relaxing on the anchor.   Included with the listing are 6 Brownell boat standspurchased new in 2020.  Ideally, I’mlooking to sell the Mariner and the boat stands as a package deal, however, I willdrop the asking price by $500 without the stands.   She’s been a good reliable boat for us and has been wellsuited for afternoon trips around Casco Bay or multiday runs up the coast.  Great Escape currently on the hard, undershrink-wrap, at Reo Marine in South Portland, ME.
