My story

　　All AHHS animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations before adoption (if species appropriate). Application and counseling is required prior to all adoptions.

　　Why, hello there...I know my handsomeness stopped you dead in your tracks. Now that I have got your attention, allow me to tell you a little more about me. My name is Johnny Cash, or "Cash" if I REALLY like you. I have quite the personality to match my striking appearance. I am what some like to call the "total package". 

　　How old am I? Well, I like to say that age is just a number. You're really just as old as you feel. If you must know, I am about a year and three months old. Yeah, yeah..I'm not a little puppy anymore. So what?! I can play right along with the rest of 'em! If you ask me, you're doing yourself a favor by adopting an adult. I am already housetrained, I walk like a pro on a leash, and I've lost all my puppy teeth, meaning I am less likely to chew up your favorite pair of slippers.  Being an adult grants me patience and maturity that will allow you to dress me in any bandana or festive holiday sweater you please to show off just what a pretty boy I am. 

　　I already know you are going to ask how I feel about other dogs, cats, and children. I am absolutely okay with sharing my household with a couple of doggy brothers or sisters. Just make sure you're spreading the love if ya know what I mean. Cats? I am going to just be honest with you and say I'm not really sure. I've never been up close and personal with one. I think they smell sort of funny, but you humans really seem to like them. Maybe it'd be worth giving one a shot. Kids? Don't get me wrong, I love them! Such cute little things. However, if I hear the refrigerator or snack cabinet open and come running, I can't promise that a toddler wouldn't get knocked over in the process. It's nothing personal, I just REALLY like treats. For this reason, it might be best that I join a family in which the mini humans are a little older.
