Update 3/1/18 Percy is being returned to us do to chasing and killing a chicken, please come see him this weekend at petsmart
Owner said: He does ok with confident, dog savvy cats. He'll chase scared ones, but will usually listen when told no chase. He seems to get carsick. He has gotten tired/ lethargic each time we've gone on trips over 30 minutes, but is just fine after we get out and run around. He knows to use a bell to go outside, but uses it more for play rather than potty. He eats grain free puppy food. He's on Trifexus as a flea/ heartworm med. He does great with kids and he lives to play. One of the only times he barks is when he wants to play. He's very food driven, but not aggressive with food. He's shy, but curious of other dogs. We don't have another dog, but he's seen them at the vet and at my in-laws house. He is shy in situations with a lot of people and will tend to be happy just staying close to us, but is sociable if people approach him. He's a great little pup. I'm praying for just the right fit for him. No chickens :(.
History: These pups were turned into the Manteca shelter at approximately 4 days old. They were found in a hay stack with no mama dog in sight. The shelter then reached out for help. Thanks to a generous foster who was very bottle feeding savvy, they were saved and rasied in a loving home until transfered to lucky paws. These guys came to us 2 weeks ago at 7 weeks old. We can't say for sure, but they appear to be a border collie type mix, maybe with lab or austrailian shepherd? Whatever they are they are sweet, well socialized with people, dog friendly, and will make amazing family dogs. They are young at 9 weeks old and in the 10lb range currently. They will need yards to play in (no apartments please), and families who will teach them all the ins and outs of being family pets-such as house training, obedience training, and crate training. 4 males and 3 females.
All puppies are fixed, flea treated, dewormed multiple times, current on vaccines, given first heartworm prevention, and microchipped. They come with a collar or harness, 2 free vet exams, a bag of grain free food, and a private training session with certified trainer, and more! Adoption fee is $250
