The 40MH and 42H models feature a flat custom-cut EVA rear grip to provide extra leverage for bracing against the forearm when fighting larger trophy-class fish.  All models in the Convergence Ice series feature Zirconia guides, while the Ultra-Light, Light and Medium-Light models also incorporate lightweight coil guides. Thoughtfully located, Shimano placed the hook keeper a bit further from the reel seat to provide a more comfortable zone for direct finger placement on the blank for improved sensitivity.
