TANGO is a 1 year old, neutered Male Catahoula/bullie mix who is playful and full of life. He has beautiful leopard sable brindle markings, a smaller compact build, and weighs about 45lbs.
Dog Shack saved this young boy just in time from Death Row and now he is ready for a loving active home. Tango LOVES to play fetch (his favorite thing) but also likes cuddle time too. He does well on leash and is easily re-directable. A Dog Shack volunteer introduced him to another dog and he did fine. He has no issues except he seems a bit too interested in cats, so for now likely would be suited for a No Cat home. In his current foster home he will be getting daily pack walks and lots of doggie socialization. Also he will get some exposure to living with cats, so we can better determine how he does.Tango will make a great addition to an active family who will spend time with him and also work on some basic training.
Its hard to believe this great little guy almost lost his life at Modesto shelter and we are so thankful that we could save him to help him have the future he deserves!
This is what the shelter had to say about Tango:
Our volunteer had a chance to take him out of his kennel. She let him play and run around; he enjoyed his toys and did not mind sharing them. There was another dog in the yard next to him. He ran up and was friendly. They sniffed each other than he took off to run andplay. He is a young pup who is eager to learn and will do finewith a patient person who can provide him structure, socialization and consistency.
