Three blue green moons rose over the spaceport on the planet named Krunos. The main hatch for the starship Voyan slapped down onto the stone walkway. Eric Hart stepped down the ramp in his powerful cosmic spacesuit that made him the silver knight. He stared through the mirror surface of his faceplate at the tall towers. The Krillan Ranger named Elfan stepped up behind him. Large pointed ears turned down behind a small furry head, as the dark disks of Elfan?s large oval eyes shimmered. The teal sky brightened suddenly. ?Have a care, milord. Tark attacks!? A dazzling power beam flashed above their heads. Eric looked over quickly at the large hairy body set atop metal framework for legs. The warlock growled angrily. The giant figure of Tark was a powerful Star Monster. ?It is good that you weaklings are here. You shall witness the mighty powers of Tark!? The aqua fog whirled all about his huge shoulders. Flashes of yellow light highlighted the clouds. ?The electrostatic storms here on Krunos feed new energy to my already fantastic powers. My Xaron rays can now transform all of matter. The rays transform matter into energy and then back again into any form I want.? Tark held up his long metal-covered arms. Suddenly, yellowish green circles of energy whirled all about the warlock?s giant figure. ?The Xaron rays are very powerful,? Elfan said mysteriously. ?Of course, I have no interest in crushing a handful of weaklings,? the monster snipped. The strange circles of energy continued to swirl all about the monstrous figure. ?Your powers are nothing, oh evil one. The Kell Medallion is still here on Krunos,? Elfan yelled across the runway. ?It is unimportant,? Tark snapped. ?You are wrong, loathsome one,? Elfan said quickly. ?You will soon be taught the error of your ways.? ?The only thing that is important now are the Games of Krunos,? Tark yelled. ?What do mean? What games?? Eric snapped. Elfan?s long pointed ears perked up. The ranger nodded his head up and down. ?The evil Tark is right,? Elfan snipped. ?What?? Eric exclaimed in amazement. ?Once we have arrived in the realm, the Games of Krunos must begin. It is the Krillan way. All of us must join in the games.? Suddenly, brilliant tubes of neon purples and reds began twirling behind the monstrous figure. The powerful female wizard named Mystra had been brought to Krunos along with Tark?s amazing army. Now she attacked the Star Monster. Her dark hair swirled in the winds. Tangerine sunlight highlighted her black tightly fitting spacesuit. The electrostatic storms had given her new powers. Another of her neon beams blasted the wicked Tark. The Kell Medallion that she had around her neck on a gold chain shimmered. ?I don?t care about this stupid planet,? Mystra yelled. ?And, I am sick and tired of you!? One of her dazzling tubes of color struck the wicked Tark and sent him flying. ?Don?t ever forget, you hideous monster, that I am a royal wizard of Teon. I was powerful long before the renegades constructed your grotesque form. I am supreme!? Mystra rose up in the air on red and yellow tubes of energy. A bright yellow blast hit Tark. He shrugged off the powerful blast. ?So, you have turned against me. Now, you will be destroyed.? A huge yellow beam leapt from Tark?s arms. It streaked up into the aqua sky. Eric saw a shadow on the ground. He knew something was going to happen. He grabbed the smaller figure of Elfan and they both jumped down under the Voyan. The silver knight felt the strong force of the Voyan?s energy armor wrap all about them. The shadow became larger. Suddenly, a giant fighter struck Mystra with the force of a nuclear weapon. The explosion roared across the spaceport. Another and another fighter appeared in the very air with dazzling energy beams firing. Another percussive blast caused the Voyan to rock back and forth. Clouds of fire blew by the Voyan?s energy armor. Eric watched in amazement. Mystra had to use all of her energy tubes to hold back the powerful explosions. A look of anguish came on the strong female?s face. She strained to hold back the incredibly violent fires. Tark whipped a crackling bolt of lightning at the dazzling female. It snared the Kell Medallion that was around her neck and pulled it over her head. Tark grabbed the gold chain that held the shimmering blue disk. He slipped it around his neck. Elfan was horrified. The evil Tark had the incredibly powerful Kell Medallion! With another crackling bolt Tark slapped Mystra down against the hard stone runway. She rolled over and over coming to rest by the Voyan. Eric stepped quickly over to the curvaceous figure of Mystra lying before him. He bent down and lifted her head. The evil Tark had blasted the woman violently. Teal lips shimmered. ?I?ll be all right.? She whispered. Eric looked up to the sky. The colors of the stormy sky were reflected in the mirror surface of the faceplate of the silver knight. Out of the clouds flew a dozen shimmering dragons. Tark looked quickly upward. He spat a curse. The dragons attacked the spaceport. The silver knight grabbed Mystra and pulled her under the Voyan. Tark held his huge arms up to the sky. A gigantic sphere the size of the spaceport appeared above the warlock. It blotted out the sun. The sky turned a dark shade of orange. The huge sphere must be an energy bubble, Eric thought. Quickly, the dazzling bubble surrounded the dragons. Another powerful storm rolled across the dark tangerine sky. Eric heard the whine of the Voyan?s starship engines. Suddenly, a brilliant dome of energy whirled over the woman, he and Elfan. It was Mystra?s own protective energy screens wrapping about them. The Voyan leapt into the sky. Brilliant laser beams struck the dragons. ?Evil Tark is attacking the dragons with a powerful Star Sphere. The games have already begun.? Elfan snapped. They watched, as the Voyan?s lasers fired again. A crack appeared in the energies of the fantastic sphere. Eric saw the angry faces of the dragons. Then, the dragons screamed in pain. The Star Sphere burst into a dazzling explosion. The brilliant flash lit up the entire spaceport. The Voyan swooped overhead and then landed quickly behind them. The hairy face of Tark smiled a wicked smile. The flames of the sphere evaporated in the green sky. ?Ah, at last the dragons have been destroyed. And, now I destroy the Games of Krunos!? ?Tark, you?ve lost your mind!? Elfan screamed, jumping to his feet. ?The Star Sphere is an omen! You must obey the rules of the game.? ?Not anymore, weakling. I make my own games and my own rules.? ?That shall be your downfall, evil Tark. No one can turn against the Krillan order.? The ranger waved his fist at the giant on metal legs. ?My powers soar.? Tark yelled. ?Soon, I will tap into all of the energies on this lowly planet. It is then that I shall tear this planet apart.? Elfan merely shook his head from side to side. He knew that against such a supremely powerful monster only the greatest Krillan magic would prevail.
