My story
Located in Clarksville, TN
At the end of the day, Chop is just a big teddy bear that wants lots of love. He doesn’t believe in personal space, so you will have a snuggle buddy when relaxing on the sofa or bed. Sometimes he may “nibble” while giving kisses and you have to correct him; he takes correction very well. He's just super excited to be loved.
Chop gets along with other dogs. He will need proper introductions to be successful. He simply ignores the cats, as they do him, unless his fur sibling chases them, then he is all in for a game of chase. Yes, he is easily influenced when fun is involved.
He loves to be outside; he loves to run, play and lay in the sun. He loves walks and enjoys car rides. If not taken out routinely, he will have a house accident. He has no problems being kenneled when you have to leave but Chop would prefer a family that is home more often than not.
He’s such a sweetheart and just wants to be loved and cuddled. He is great with kids too.

Medical History:
Chop had hind end weakness, incontinence and was dragging his back legs when he came to Battle for the Bully. He was diagnosed as having subarachnoid diverticulum between his T9 and T10 vertebrae. This means the lining of his spinal cord filled with cerebrospinal fluid and caused compression on the spine.
Chop had the necessary surgery to correct his spine and has recovered perfectly. He's completely healthy now and ready to find his forever home. Chop can't wait to show his new family just how much love, loyalty and affection he has to give!
