My story

　　Winnie is a 4 month old Great Dane mix. She looks like she's going to be a big girl. She weighs about 42 lbs now and growing fast.

　　Winnie came to us when her older parents had some health issues and determined that they were not up for a puppy -- especially a big puppy. Family tried to help temporarily but because of work commitments were having to crate her 10 hours a day so they asked for our help to find her a home where she can have a happier life.

　　Winnie is a super sweet, gangly girl -- all legs and clumsy at this point, and it's adorable. She is happy-go-lucky and plays great with dogs of all sizes in her foster home. She loves attention and affection. Because of her early start with owners who could not get her out regularly and then over-crating, house-training is a work in progress -- but she's smart and eager to please and she has improved a lot already.

　　She also loves children and we're told she is fine with cats as well. Winnie would be so great in a family -- but bear in mind she is awkward and growing rapidly and might be too much for younger children to handle – although she's mostly pretty calm for her age.
