Written by Donald F. Glut (ISBN 37). This is the official novelization of the film of the same title. Like other novelizations, "Empire" contains many scenes and details cut from the film. Original printings of the book do not bear the label "Episode V" anywhere.

This is a first edition published in Great Britain by Sphere Books in May 1980 and contains 8 pages of color photos from the movie. There is creasing on the spine and cover from regular usage, but otherwise the book is in great shape for being on display for about 30 years!
