Written by George Lucas (ghostwritten by Alan Dean Foster) (ISBN: 93). Originally entitled "Star Wars: From the Adventures of Luke Skywalker," this was the official novel adaptation of the film "Star Wars: Episode IV: A New Hope." Like other novelizations, "Star Wars" contains many scenes and details cut from the film. The novel starts off with the words "Another galaxy, another time," rather then the famous opening words of "A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away"

　　This is VERY SPECIAL Star Wars collectible, for this is the FIRST printing published by Sphere Books Ltd, London, in 1977. It has a nearly identical twin that was published later in that year with different writing in the yellow band across the lower right side as well as a yellow burst in the upper right corner announcing pictures from the movie (even though this 1st printing has the same pics, there is no burst announcement on its cover). The book is in great shape (pages have yellowed slightly) for being on display for over 30 years!
