From the Foster: It has been such a joy to watch Cupid (aka Sophie as weve always called her) grow these last few weeks into a fun, playful, loving, sassy little snuggle bug! She came to us from a puppy mill, locked up for her whole life and having basically no positive human interaction, and petrified. But with some TLC from both humans and our resident dogs to give her comfort, she has learned quickly that humans are kind, the world can be fun, beds are really comfy, toys are the bomb and its super fun to be a dog and part of a family!

Cupid loves dogs and would thrive much quicker in a household with a fur companion to continue to show her the ropes and find comfort in. She has discovered an obsession for stuffy toys and chew bones and they can keep her busy for hours.

She has blossomed with such a funny, quirky personality that makes us laugh every day with her little antics, from gathering every toy in the house into one big pile and laying it in, to deciding that every sock in the house needs to move to a different room. Although not destructive, so she has had full roam of the house and is never locked up. Keeping her stocked with fun toys and bones and playing with her foster sisters seems to keep her occupied.

She keeps herself so busy between playing with us, the dogs, endless toys and chewies, but is ALWAYS up for a good cuddle and snuggle whenever you sit down. She knows that night night time means she gets to jump in our bed for the night and snuggle in. Shes never had an accident throughout the night.

She LOVES the snow!! She actually loves being outside playing as much as she can

I have to make her come inside most times as her tiny little nugget body cant handle the cold as much as she wants it to.

This has made potty training much easier and she is doing really good on a schedule. She still needs some work but is coming around quickly and puppy pads in between let outs are very helpful.

We are still working with her on being comfortable on a harness and leash, but that will come with time. Because she has such a hard time being leashed up we are asking that she either go to a home with a fenced in yard, or to an adopter who understands that she will need continued work with desensitizing her to a leash and that house training may be more difficult if that is her only means of being let out. Because she can scare easily, only older, respectful kids for this little one. Because of her past, she is still skeptical of strangers at first and will need time to warm up to them.

She will need a patient, loving family that is still willing to give her time to become trustful before she shows her bundle of personality and everything she has to offer her new family. But I assure you that this little nugget of joy is WORTH IT! We have had to give her time to warm up and trust at her own pace, but she has managed to win over the hearts of everyone in this house!
