My story

　　Say hey to Zeus! Zeus and his best friend Kaiyah came to us after being found by the local hospital and they were never claimed. We believe Zeus was born in November of 2017 and would do well with all ages, and other dogs. We are not sure how he would feel about a cat in his new home. Zeus keeps a pretty clean kennel here at the shelter so we think he is mostly if not fully potty trained, and may only need a small refresher when learning a new routine. He is a very sweet guy that LOVES treats of any kind, is very food motivated and also loves lots of attention! Zeus is really looking forward to having a home to call his very own again!

　　All pets adopted from the Humane Society of Freeborn County will be spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, testing and will be microchipped. All of this is included in their adoption fee. Fill out an application to adopt at freeborncountyhs.org

　　When transitioning your new pet home please allow for at least 4-6 weeks for your pet to adjust to their new home. They will need this time to decompress, and adjust to a new routine and environment. During that time we will provide check ins and counseling to ensure a successful transition.

　　Please review all basic adoption requirements listed on our website before applying. We take finding the right homes for the animals in our care very seriously. They deserve nothing but the best! Please allow 2-7 days for applications to be processed.

　　If an animal is listed in foster care, these pets are not at our facility, but are in foster care homes. They are still available for adoption, and meet and greets are done with pre-approved applicants only.
