　　St Paul Gold and Silver Exchange always pays out a minimum of 90% of melt value to dealers for all scrap gold, regardless of quantity.

　　This percentage is not some formula arrived at with fancy math or based upon an assay after the gold is melted. Rather, the 92% rate is simply based upon the weight of the gold you send us, and a nitric acid test to ensure that the purity is as stated.

　　If the weights and purity is correct, we calculate our offer at 92% of melt and if acceptable to you, make payment on same day. Payment can be made in cash at our office location or can be sent in a check via express mail. In some cases, we can also offer electronic funds transfer OR direct paypal if requested.

　　The benefits to you are several, most important among these are:

　　1) You no longer have to wait to be paid for your gold. Instead of shipping your metals to a refiner and waiting days for a check, we will weigh and verify your gold and pay you the same day. 　　2) You do not have to guess at what your payout will be. When you sell your gold to a refiner, your payment is based upon their assay of the final melted gold's purity.
